The Lithuanian government says it has blacklisted 46 Russian citizens involved in the criminal prosecution of several Ukrainians, including the imprisoned pilot Nadezhda Savchenko.

Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius says his country is the first European Union member to announce a list banning entry to Russian judges and prosecutors. He did not reveal the names on the list.

Linkevicius said Wednesday that Lithuania "wants to express solidarity with Ukrainians," and called on other EU members to take similar measures.

A Russian court last month sentenced Savchenko to 22 years in prison after finding her guilty of complicity in the 2014 killing of two Russian journalists during fighting between Russia-backed rebels and the Ukrainian government in eastern Ukraine.
