Liquefied gas container explodes in restaurant in eastern China, causing fire and killing 17

Authorities in eastern China says 17 people have been killed after a liquefied gas container exploded in a restaurant, causing a fire.

The Wuhu city government's microblog says the explosion happened just before noon Saturday at a small privately run restaurant in the city's Jinghu district.

Wuhu is in Anhui province.
