Kosovo's main airport says it has temporarily shut down after reports that a Turkish Airlines flight overshot a runway while landing in rainy weather.

Pristina International Airport spokeswoman Valentina Gara told The Associated Press that the flight from Istanbul was carrying 143 passengers and eight crew members. She said that the plane "had a minor accident that fortunately caused no injuries."

Gara said "the airport will be shut until the preliminary technical investigation" shows the cause of the incident, without giving details. Three other flights were canceled.

Local media showed a photo in which the plane appeared to have overshot the runway. It was raining at the time of the incident.
