Israel's military says troops have raided a Palestinian university in the West Bank and seized militant propaganda linked to Hamas and other groups.

The military says the raid on Tuesday "confiscated inciting propaganda" as part of a crackdown to curb violence that Israel says is fueled by Palestinian incitement.

Fathi Omour, a spokesman for the Arab American university in Jenin, says the Israeli troops took a computer, papers and flags.

Palestinians have killed 28 Israelis and two Americans in near-daily attacks since mid-September. During that time, about 185 Palestinians have died by Israeli fire. Israel says most of them were attackers.

Israel says Palestinian media's glorification of attackers is a main cause of the bloodshed.

Palestinians say it stems from anger over Israeli rule and frustrations over not achieving statehood.
