A police official says a man opened fire in a village in the Czech Republic, killing two people and seriously injuring another one.

Regional police chief Tomas Kuzel says the suspected gunman has been arrested. He has not been identified.

The shooting took place late afternoon on Monday in Raskovice. Kuzel didn't immediately give any further details.

Czech public television reports the suspect had three different guns. It says the victims were a man and a woman, and the injured person was a woman.
