Guinea's electoral commission says President Alpha Conde is leading in partial votes counted from Sunday's election.

The Independent National Electoral commission said Conde is in the lead after 75 percent of the votes had been counted.

The commission said Conde has about 60 percent of the vote. Main opposition leader Cellou Dalein Diallo so far has around 30 percent. The two faced off in a second round during 2010 presidential elections marked by ethnic violence.

Diallo withdrews from the electoral process on Wednesday, saying the vote was fraudulent. Results are still expected from an opposition stronghold.

Final results are expected later Friday.
