France says a woman working for international organization abducted in Yemen

PARIS – The French Foreign Ministry says that a Frenchwoman working for an international organization has been kidnapped in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.

The ministry said the kidnapping occurred on Tuesday morning, but gave no further details.

Yemen, the base for an al-Qaida affiliate, has recently devolved into chaos.
