Federal prosecutors say the main owner of an after-hours bar where 12 young people were abducted from a month ago has been detained on drug charges.

The Attorney General's office says Ernesto Espinosa Lobo was detained Friday in Mexico City's southern borough of Coyoacan.

Federal prosecutors say Espinosa Lobo was detained along with seven other people and that he has been turned over to city prosecutors. They say the group was carrying several doses of drugs.

The group was abducted May 26 from the Zona Rosa business and entertainment district.

Surveillance tape shows men herding the missing, a few at a time, into compact cars. They haven't been heard from since.

Prosecutors say the abductions are linked to a dispute between two rival drug gangs in the rough Tepito neighborhood.
