Staffers at an Australian hospital's emergency department have received a rather unusual late night visitor — a koala.

Security cameras captured the marsupial casually strolling in through the automatic doors of Hamilton Base Hospital in Victoria state at 3:30 a.m. on April 20. The koala wandered around for a few minutes, before seeing itself out.

The Western District Health Service released footage of the koala's hospital visit on Tuesday.

Health Service spokeswoman Brigid Kelly says surprised staffers watched the koala poke around the emergency department's waiting room for about three minutes before the animal sauntered back out.

The Health Service's CEO nicknamed the creature "Blinky Bill," after a fictional koala first popularized in a series of children's books.
