One of Canada's largest breweries says it is donating up to 200,000 cans of emergency drinking water to firefighters and evacuees affected by the raging wildfires in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Labatt Breweries says more than 2,880 cases of water were shipped out Friday from its Alberta distribution centers. The cases are being sent to an emergency center in Edmonton, Alberta, for firefighters and those who have been forced to flee the fire-ravaged area.

More than 80,000 people have left Fort McMurray, in the heart of Canada' oil sands, since the wildfires were ignited last weekend.

Charlie Angelakos, Labatt's vice president, says the company is alarmed and deeply concerned by the devastation that has overtaken Fort McMurray, and that the company will do everything it can to help.
