British police arrest 3 terror suspects in sweep north of London

LONDON – British police have arrested three men on suspicion of preparing acts of terrorism.

Police said Tuesday that two men in their 20s and one man in his 30s were arrested at two separate residential addresses north of London in Letchworth and greater Luton.

Police said armed officers took part in the arrests and that no shots were fired during the operation.

Searches in the Luton area are continuing.

Police refused to provide details about the arrests. The men haven't been named.
