Britain's Cameron holds 'difficult' talks in Poland as he seeks changes in relationship to EU

WARSAW, Poland – British Prime Minister David Cameron is in Warsaw as a part of a visit to four European capitals as he seeks support for renegotiating his country's relationship with the European Union.

Cameron and Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz met early Friday but did not give any statements to the press.

The talks were expected to be challenging given the Polish government's opposition to changes Cameron wants limiting the rights of immigrants in Britain as part of his drive to change his country's relationship with the EU.

Ahead of the visit, the Polish minister for European affairs, Rafal Trzaskowski, told the Rzeczpospolita daily that he expected the talks to be "very difficult."

Hundreds of thousands of Poles have settled in the Britain since Poland joined the EU in 2004.
