Boy beaten near Paris Jewish school by youths allegedly shouting anti-Semitic slogans

School officials say a 12-year-old boy has been beaten by youths shouting anti-Semitic slogans outside the Jewish school he attends in Paris.

The incident at the Ozar Hatorah school in the French capital came despite high security around Jewish schools and synagogues in France following a school shooting last week that left three children and a rabbi dead.

That shooting took place at the Ozar Hatorah school in the southern city of Toulouse.

Jean-Paul Amoyelle, president of the Ozar Hatorah network in France, says the 12-year-old boy was beaten Monday as he left school. It happened about 100 meters from the entrance and therefore out of sight of the police officers guarding the school.

The boy did not suffer serious injuries. It is unclear who the assailants were.
