Austrian prosecutors have charged a member of an association close to the country's right-wing party with racism and inciting hate against minorities for a Facebook posting calling for labor camps for migrants.

Wolfgang Caspart denies wrongdoing. Barbara Fischer of the Salzburg prosecutor's office said Thursday he was charged as the sole administrator of the Free Union of Academics Facebook page where the comments appeared last year.

The posting called for labor camps for migrants without papers or whose asylum requests have been rejected. Using an outdated word for black people it warned that millions would overrun Europe soon, bringing their "hatred of whites" with them.

The organization is close to the Freedom Party, which advocates severe restrictions on immigration and consistently polls at the top of popularity rankings.
