Attack in Afghanistan kills NATO service member

KABUL, Afghanistan – NATO says an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan killed a NATO trooper Sunday morning.

More than 200 NATO troops have died so far this year in Afghanistan, many of them in the southern provices where Taliban fighters are trying to regain territory lost over the winter.

The coalition released no other information about the attack until relatives could be notified.
