Cops have arrested a man in connection with an unprovoked attack on a woman at a Berlin underground station – after a bodyguard to Hollywood stars offered a reward.
Michael Kuehr, 54, whose clients include Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron, offered more than $2,000 for information relating to the disgusting assault which was captured on CCTV.
Released by police, the shocking footage showed an innocent woman being kicked down a flight of stairs by a cowardly hooligan in October.
Heroic strongman Kuehr said he “almost had to vomit during breakfast” when he saw the disturbing video.
He offered the money in a bid to bring the thug and his three thug friends – who watched the attack and did nothing – to justice.
Authorities have now detained a suspect in relation to the assault.
The footage shocked Germany and Kuehr was reportedly not the only person to offer an award.
CCTV from the metro station showed a young woman in a black coat walking down a tiled staircase.
A man in blue jeans and a leather jacket clutching a beer bottle while smoking a cigarette can be seen following her.
He trots a few steps down the staircase behind her.
Then, when she is halfway down the steps, he raises his leg and kicks her hard in the back, sending her flying several feet down to the ground.
She lands painfully on her face, sprawling on the hard surface, the contents of her handbag scattering across the floor.
The attacker, flanked by three companions, walks back up the stairs and saunters away.
One of his mates lingers for a second to retrieve a dropped bottle and then strolls away with the rest.
Down the stairs on the platform, fellow commuters rush to help the woman. She was taken to hospital and left the same day after receiving treatment.
The incident happened shortly after midnight on October 27 in the borough of Neukoelln.
At the time of the video's release, a police spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating a case of dangerous bodily injury."
