Four men have pleaded guilty to discussing plans to carry out a terrorist attack in Britain using homemade guns and bombs.

?Zahid Iqbal, Mohammed Sharfaraz Ahmed, Umar Arshad and Syed Farhan Hussain were arrested at their homes in the town of Luton, north of London, in April.

Prosecutors said the men, aged between 21 and 31, downloaded files containing instructions for an attack, bought survival equipment and collected money for terrorist purposes. They also admitted "facilitating, planning and encouraging" overseas travel for terrorist purposes.

They pleaded guilty Friday at Woolwich Crown Court in London to preparing for terrorist acts, and will be sentenced April 15.
