Officials say a train slammed into a bus at a crossing in northern Mexico, killing at least four people.

A government official in the Pacific coast state of Sinaloa says the bus driver was one of those killed in Tuesday's crash. The official was not authorized to be quoted by name.

In a video released to local media, the bus appears to try to beat the oncoming train across the crossing, which had no gate.

The video shows the train broadsiding the bus, crumpling the front section and knocking the vehicle sideways.

The state health department said the injured were treated at several hospitals, but there was no immediate information on their condition.
