The IAAF ethics commission has suspended three senior Kenyan track and field federation officials over the "potential subversion" of the anti-doping system in the east African nation.

The IAAF says Athletics Kenya President Isaiah Kiplagat, vice president David Okeyo, who is also an IAAF Council member, and 2015 world championships team leader Joseph Kinyua have been suspended for 180 days "in the interests of the integrity of the sport."

The three men are also accused of "potential improper diversion from Athletics Kenya of funds received from Nike."

The IAAF says Kiplagat is also being investigated over an "apparent gift" of two cars from the Qatar Athletics Federation received by Athletics Kenya in 2014-15. Qatar won the right to stage the 2019 world championships in a November 2014 vote.
