Authorities in Paraguay say at least 15 people are missing after a tourist boat apparently capsized Wednesday in the Paraguay River during a storm at the town of Carmelo Peralta.

Emergency agency operating manager Aldo Saldivar says the boat was carrying Brazilian tourists who had come for a fishing expedition in the Pantanal region, about 370 miles (600 kilometers) north of the capital of Asuncion. He says witnesses reported that five tourists were rescued.

Saldivar says navy divers are looking for the missing.
