ANKARA, Turkey-- Turkish authorities say one person has died in an explosion in a Mediterranean town. A news agency has reported the victim is a suicide bomber and the blast was outside a paramilitary police station.
The blast Friday near the southern town of Kemer in Antalya province also injured two people, according to Deputy Gov. Recep Yuksel. He says the explosion wasn't in a tourist area.
Dogan news agency, without citing sources, says the attack occurred in front of the paramilitary installation in Goynuk district of Kemer. An agency photograph shows pieces of clothing scattered on the asphalt after the blast.
Kurdish militants, who claimed a deadly car bombing in the Turkish capital recently, have threatened more attacks.
