A New Hampshire man is in jail after police say a surveillance camera recorded him stealing a purse from a 91-year-old woman on her way to church.

Twenty-two-year-old Joseph Audet Jr. of Manchester was arrested Tuesday shortly after the 4 p.m. robbery.

Sixty-seven-year-old Patricia Turcotte says she and her friend, 91-year-old Phyllis Macek, (MAYS'-ihk) were knocked down and Macek's pocketbook was stolen. Turcotte told WMUR-TV that she broke her wrist.

The assault was recorded by a camera at the Currier Museum of Art, across the street from the victim's church.

Audet is being held on $150,000 bond following his arraignment on robbery Wednesday. Court officials say he applied for a public defender but no appointment has been made yet.
