JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- A man stabbed at a Johnson City boarding house told police an acquaintance did it during a dispute over $8.

The Johnson City Press reports police found 48-year-old Robert Williams at about 8 p.m. Wednesday, suffering from lacerations to his face and neck.

Williams told police that a man he knows as "New York" cut him. Williams treated and released at Johnson City Medical Center.

According to court documents, 63-year-old Harold Freeman was charged with aggravated assault and possession of marijuana for resale.

Freeman was arraigned on Thursday in Washington County Sessions Court and remained jailed in the Washington County Detention Center.
