A carriage horse took a jaunt around Central Park -- without any passengers or its driver.

The union that represents carriage drivers says the horse became detached from its bridle around 5:45 p.m. Monday on 59th Street. The startled animal ran into the park, following its usual route.

It exited the park at 59th Street and Fifth Avenue, where a group of carriage drivers were waiting to corral it. The horse's carriage got caught on an open taxi door, and the animal came to a stop.

Carriage driver Stephen Malone, a spokesman for the industry, said there were no injuries to the animal or any people.
