The father of a teen wounded in a shooting on the first day of school wants parents to know what their children say on social media. He also urges young people to let an adult know if anyone makes a sinister statement.

Fifteen-year-old sophomore Robert Gladden is charged with shooting Daniel Borowy on Monday at their school in Baltimore's suburbs. Gladden wrote on Facebook that morning that it was the "First day of school, last day of my life."

In an interview Thursday with The Associated Press, the victim's father, Milton Borowy, begged teenagers to act if they're concerned about what someone says.

Doctors say Daniel Borowy suffered a bruised lung and a fractured rib. His chest muscles are damaged and there is a hole in his chest.
