A white supremacist who tried to take over the small North Dakota town of Leith is to be sentenced late this month for terrorizing its residents.

A pre-sentence investigation was submitted to the court late last week, and sentencing for Craig Cobb has been scheduled for April 29.

The 62-year-old Cobb initially faced seven felony terrorizing charges for carrying out armed patrols in mid-November. The charges could have landed him in prison for 35 years.

In late February he agreed to plead guilty to five misdemeanor menacing charges and one felony terrorizing count in a plea agreement that would spare him further jail time, but Judge David Reich ordered the pre-sentence investigation before accepting the deal.

Leith Mayor Ryan Schock says he wants Cobb to go to prison.
