Police in Marietta say they’re searching for two suspects who allegedly impersonated officers during a robbery at a hotel, and they say the suspects were caught on tape.

It happened at the La Quinta hotel on Delk Road in Marietta at about 9:30 p.m. on August 15. Investigators say two black men in their late 20s to early 30s went into a hotel room occupied by three females. The suspects claimed to be law enforcement officers, and were wearing shirts that had the letters “POLICE” marked on them.

According to investigators, the suspects searched the room and removed some items as what they called “evidence.” Then, investigators say they left in a 2009 or 2010 white Kia Optima.

No one was hurt during the theft.
