NEW YORK – A New York man paying a late Valentine's Day visit to his former boyfriend reportedly fell three stories from a fire escape at her Manhattan residence.
Miguel Angel De La Torre, 23, attempted to enter his 41-year-old former boyfriend's Morningside Heights apartment by knocking on the door at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, police told the New York Daily News.
When no one answered the door, the man climbed the fire escaped and slipped when he reached the third floor.
Police told the newspaper the man was listed in stable condition with a broken vertebrae and is expected to survive.
