A preliminary hearing for two young girls accused of stabbing their classmate to please the horror character Slender Man is set to enter its second day.

Each girl faces one count of first-degree intentional attempted homicide in connection with the May attack in a Waukesha park. All three girls involved were 12 at the time of the attack.

The judge at the hearing is expected to decide whether enough evidence exists to proceed to trial. Prosecutors spent Monday outlining the details of the attack through detectives' testimony.

The girls' defense attorneys are expected to present their witnesses on Tuesday. It's unclear whether Judge Michael Bohren will immediately issue a decision on a trial at the end of testimony.
