Police say four men are in custody after a woman's badly beaten body was apparently dumped along a road in suburban Detroit.

Westland police Sgt. Robert Wilkie says the men were taken into custody on Monday, the same day the woman's body was found in the western Detroit suburb of Dearborn Heights.

The Detroit News reports (http://bit.ly/1CLffyt ) three were arrested in Westland and a fourth was arrested in Dearborn Heights.

Wilkie says investigators believe the woman was killed in Westland. He says more people may be involved.

Police in Dearborn Heights have said that the woman in her mid-40s had no identification on her. She was identified through fingerprints, but her name hasn't been released. Police have said there were scrapes on the woman's face and she was badly bruised.
