Police: Postal worker fatally shot near Miami
MIAMI – The postal inspection service is offering a $25,000 reward for information on whoever fatally shot a postman near Miami and took off in his mail truck.
Miami-Dade Police have not yet identified the man who died at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Lt. Rosanna Cordero-Stutz says officers called to an apartment complex Monday afternoon found the postman had been shot several times.
The mail truck was found abandoned a short time later. The suspect was seen wearing a red jacket with black clothing underneath, and has dreadlocks.
Cordero-Stutz says they don't yet know what the motive was for the shooting northwest of the city.
