A New York woman is telling state police that she killed a man after he hired her to end his life.

Trooper Jack Keller says 74-year-old Francis Nelson, of Little Falls, was bound hand and foot when he was run over on a rural road.

Keller says 28-year-old Jennifer Riesel did it. He says she told troopers that Nelson asked her to kill him, promising "financial gain" from his death. His body was found Tuesday morning in Little Falls, about 60 miles west of Albany.

Riesel and Nelson are both from Little Falls. Keller says the two were friends.

Riesel is jailed on a second-degree murder charge. Officials didn't know if she has a lawyer.

Authorities scheduled a news conference for Thursday afternoon to discuss the case.
