Police investigate shooting at Fort Bragg

FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Law enforcement at Fort Bragg is responding to a report of a shooting on the North Carolina Army post.

A statement from the post said the shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. No further details were released.

Officials said drivers and pedestrians are being urged to avoid the Fort Bragg historic district until further notice.

Fort Bragg is home to the 82nd Airborne Division, the 18th Airborne Corps and Special Operations Forces.
