Authorities say a 5-year-old western New York girl was killed by a trusted family friend at her great-grandmother's house then put in trash bag and stuffed in an alley garbage can.

Niagara Falls police say two people in custody will be charged with killing Isabella Sarah Tennant late Sunday night.

They did not identify the two suspects, including a 16-year-old friend of Isabella's family. She was last seen alive around 10:30 p.m. Sunday and was reported missing about 6 a.m. missing by relatives at the home where she had been visiting.

The last person known to see Isabella alive is one of the two people in custody. He went to police on his own.

An autopsy is planned for Tuesday.
