Officials have lifted the suspension of a fraternity chapter at Middle Tennessee State University that placed a sexually suggestive sign placed outside an off-campus house.

The Daily News Journal (http://on.dnj.com/1LLpV5M) cited a statement from the Sigma Pi national office that says the members who participated in putting up a sign that read "Freshman Girls Info Center" had been disciplined. The statement also says the chapter will work to heighten sexual-assault awareness on campus during the 2015-16 academic year.

University spokesman Andrew Oppmann says MTSU considers the issue resolved.

The sign was reportedly taken down by fraternity leadership about 30 minutes after it was put up.
