A farm worker looking for a bull found him in an unlikely place: stuck in a well.

Emergency responders were working Wednesday to rescue the 1,500-pound bull from the well on the farm south of Atlanta.

Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester told local media outlets that the bull was still alive. She said police were calling on the fire department for help lifting the bull.

Abel Ambrosio Lopez works on the Fairburn farm where the bull is kept. He tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he was looking around for the bull and was surprised when he found him in the well.

Ambrosio Lopez says the bull seemed to be OK. Lopez was waiting for help to get it out of the well, which he estimates is 12 feet deep.
