Authorities say a 77-year-old woman sustain minor injuries after a car driven by a 19-year-old who had attended a prom crashed into her New Jersey hotel room.

Police say Ruth Ernst was sleeping when the car barreled into her room at the Holiday Inn in Toms River Sunday. The Washington, D.C., resident was trapped between a wall and the car.

The Asbury Park Press reports Taras Ostrovskiy was staying at the hotel after a prom and was in a parking place when police say he drove into the room.

The East Brunswick resident is charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
