A high school athletic director in Audubon has been suspended after allegedly shooting several bullets into her husband's unoccupied pickup.

Donna Covely was arrested Friday in Mantua, where she lives. She faces charges of making terrostistic threats, criminal mischief and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The 55-year-old also serves as assistant principal at Audubon High. She's worked in the district for about eight years.

She's been suspended from her $112,000 a year job. Other school officials are planning to take on her responsibilities for now.

A person who answered the phone at her home Tuesday hung up.
