Missing Sacramento Pup Found Two Years Later 3,000 Miles Away

BRANDON, Florida – A dog that went missing from Sacramento, Calif. nearly two years ago has been found 3,000 miles away.

Cooper, a Chihuahua/Whippet mix, went missing in October 2009 from his home in West Sacramento.

He was found Thursday in Brandon, Florida. Brandon is in western Florida near Tampa.

A couple of good Samaritans noticed Cooper had a microchip that allowed them to track down his family.

Cooper is due to travel home to Sacramento on Monday.
