Police said a missing 12-year-old Kansas girl is believed to have left the state with a 20-year-old Canadian man she met on the Internet.

El Dorado Police Chief Tom Boren said the girl was last seen early Thursday. Police believe she may have gotten into a car driven by Kenneth Stewart McGill, of Ontario, Canada.

McGill already had been reported missing and suicidal by his parents.

Boren said there is no evidence that the girl got into McGill's car unwillingly. Police said McGill is driving a white 2006 Chevrolet Impala with Canadian license plates BMZH 238 that was stolen from his parents.

McGill was registered at an El Dorado motel Thursday. Boren told KFDI that the car was spotted Thursday in Illinois.
