An Indiana 19-year-old who was ordered to register as a sex offender in two states because he had consensual sex with a 14-year-old Michigan girl he met online who said she was 17 will be resentenced.

The South Bend Tribune reports that a new judge will do the resentencing for Zach Anderson.

Berrien County District Judge Dennis Wiley's order was released Tuesday. Wiley originally sentenced Anderson. Anderson faces a new bond hearing Friday.

He and the girl met in December. Her mother called police that night when she could not find her daughter. Michigan's age of consent is 16.

Anderson spent 75 days in jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor. The girl's mother had asked for leniency and that the case be dropped.
