A 49-year-old man was arrested at Sacramento International Airport in California on Tuesday for having a loaded handgun in his backpack.

The weapon was found when the passenger, identified as Tam Nguyen, was screened by Transportation Security

Administration officials in Terminal B at around 1:00pm local time, The Sacramento Bee reported.

Several rounds of live ammunition in a magazine were also discovered.

Nguyen was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a loaded, concealed firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
