A recently-released California prison inmate barricaded himself inside a Tustin home on Wednesday in a standoff with police. The suspect was arrested last month for making terrorist threats with a weapon, but is out on bail, KABC-TV in Los Angeles reported.

When a tow truck driver arrived overnight to repossess the suspect's car, he became upset, ramming a U-Haul truck into the driver's vehicle. He then ran inside, threatening to burn his house down.

Police officers have evacuated the area and set up a perimeter with a SWAT team on the scene. They are trying to talk him out of his house without incident.

No injuries have been reported. Tustin, Calif., is about 34 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
