Prosecutors say a man installed his own surveillance cameras above ATM machines at two suburban banks to record customers' PIN numbers.

He also allegedly used a skimming device to get information from customers' bank cards.
The Westchester district attorney said Monday that 31-year-old Razvan Apostol (raz-VANN' uh-PAH'-stuhl) of Romania had been charged with felony eavesdropping and possession of the skimming device.

He was also charged with possessing eight counterfeit $100 bills.His lawyer said Apostol denied the charges.

A customer noticed an extra camera above an ATM in Greenburgh. Prosecutors said the bank's surveillance video was used to identify Apostol and he was arrested at a bank in Rye Brook.

His lawyer said Apostal entered the U.S. on a tourist visa. He was staying in Queens.
