The Maaco auto body chain says a Maryland franchise is suspending a worker who left a threatening message telling a customer's husband to control her after she posted a scathing review on social media.

Maaco Franchising of Charlotte, North Carolina, said Friday that the employee will attend diversity and anger management training. The company also says the shop in Hagerstown will be temporarily closed for customer-care training.

Ella May Rudd says she posted the review and then publicized the dispute by posting the message left on her husband's cellphone.

On the recording, the worker tells Rudd's husband to "get her in check" and "deal with it before I deal with it."

Maaco apologized for the incident. It says the comments don't reflect the Maaco brand.
