A North Carolina state investigator is in hot water after a 5-year-old found her handgun in a restaurant bathroom stall in Harrisburg.
Luckily, the girl's parents had trained her on what to do if something like this ever happened.
"She walked into the stall, turned back and said 'Mommy, there's a gun in here,'" father Jody Sarris said.
The investigator was back in the restaurant within minutes to retrieve her weapon.
Authorities believe she realized it was missing when she got to her car.
NC State Bureau of Investigation said it's "conducting an internal investigation in order to determine the appropriate course of action."
The agent is reportedly on leave.
