A suburban Detroit bar is fulfilling the wish of a longtime employee who asked that his funeral be held at the watering hole where he worked for about 25 years.

Family and friends are planning to pay their final respects to Jimmy Lehr on Thursday at the All Around Bar in Taylor. The 58-year-old died Feb. 7 after having pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure.

A pine casket built at the bar was surrounded by flowers on the dance floor during a Wednesday wake. It's the same floor where Lehr's fourth wedding was held in 1996.

Bar owners Dave and Sheila Karlson say they worked with a local funeral home to handle Lehr's body.

Dave Karlson describes Lehr a "a gatherer of friends and people."
