The John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York closed briefly Sunday morning after a plane skidded off the runway and slid into snow.
The airport closed around 8:30 a.m. and reopened at approximately 10:15 a.m., according to the Port Authority.
An FAA spokesperson told Fox News that the plane originated in Toronto and was turning off the runway onto a taxiway when it slid into snow. No injuries were reported.
The FAA is currently investigating.
On its website, the FAA said the Philadelphia International Airport is experiencing heavy delays, also due to snow and ice.
"This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 2 hours and 48 minutes," the statement said.
