A Pittsburgh man is under arrest after police say he started a fire in a house while trying to burn pictures of his ex-girlfriend.

Police say 33-year-old Leonard Spagnolo was arrested early Tuesday morning after emergency officials responded to the blaze in the city's Greenfield neighborhood.

Pittsburgh police Lt. Jason Lando says Spagnolo had gotten into an argument with his current girlfriend and started a fire on the floor to burn items associated with a past girlfriend. The fire was contained to one room and no injuries were reported.

Police told WTAE-TV Spagnolo was arrested after shoving his current girlfriend against a wall. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail.
