CHICAGO  -- A grandmother has been charged with misdemeanor child endangerment after a 1-year-old tested positive for cocaine and PCP.

Yolanda Beck is accused of leaving residue of cocaine and PCP on aluminum foil wrappers. Police say a person at the home saw the child chewing on a piece of foil.

According to authorities, the child was hospitalized Sunday after relatives noticed the child had grown lethargic.

Police say the 37-year-old Beck allegedly admitted to smoking the drugs on the day of the incident and leaving the wrappers in places easily accessible to the child.

Beck, who was arrested Monday, is scheduled to appear in Domestic Violence Court on Aug. 10.

Beck has an unpublished telephone number and could not be reached for comment Wednesday. It was not immediately known if she has a lawyer.
